Job summary

Solid Rock Recruiting LLC is seeking an experienced Project Manager / Production Manager to lead commercial mechanical and plumbing projects in the San Antonio area. This role bridges estimating, project execution, and field operations, developing scalable processes to support growth while delivering quality results.

You will manage budgets, schedules, submittals, and vendor relations, travel locally, and mentor others in a collaborative, family-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Project Management experience in commercial mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, or piping construction.
• Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
• Strong understanding of project financials, scheduling, procurement, and construction documentation.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organizational and computer proficiency.
• Comfortable working in both the office and the field.
• Process-driven mindset with the ability to improve systems and workflows.
• Experience with government, military, institutional, healthcare, or commercial projects is highly preferred.
• Previous field experience as a Superintendent, Foreman, or Journeyman is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial plumbing and mechanical projects from turnover to closeout.
• Coordinate startup, scheduling, procurement, and execution.
• Oversee budgets, forecasting, change orders, billing, and financials.
• Serve as primary contact for owners, GC, subcontractors, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Support field supers to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
• Develop and improve PM procedures, workflows, and best practices.
• Coordinate turnover from estimating into production.
• Manage submittals, RFIs, logs, equipment tracking, and docs.
• Participate in planning meetings and identify improvement opportunities.
• Travel locally across the San Antonio market as needed.
• Represent the company professionally with clients and team partners.
