Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat Corp. is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician at the Quonset Point facility in North Kingstown, RI. The role focuses on troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining specialized mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems and components.

The technician will report to the maintenance operations supervisor, collaborate with production and vendors, and pursue ongoing training. Applicants should be comfortable with shifts and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or minimum 2 years of technical experience.
• Minimum of 2 years facilities/machine maintenance experience.
• Available to work all shifts and overtime as needed.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems up to 600 volts and related control voltages.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems/components.
• Report to maintenance operations supervisor and coordinate with production and vendors.
• Perform PLC and electrical troubleshooting and address day-to-day issues.
• Develop and evaluate new technologies or methods in mechanics, hydraulics, and software.
• Work independently and with others in a fast-paced environment; follow procedures.
