Melby- is seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join our Accounting team. You will maintain accurate records, bring the books to trial balance, and assist with tax forms, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and proficient in QuickBooks, Excel, and payroll systems, with strong communication skills. This role supports multiple clients and requires meticulous data entry.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred.
• 2+ years experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Knowledge of GAAP.
• Proficient with spreadsheets; experience in Excel, QuickBooks.

Responsibilities

• Enter financial data and transactions for multiple clients.
• Verify the accuracy of transactions that have been entered.
• Reconcile monthly credit card statements, bank accounts and other accounts.
• Assist with payroll reporting and account reconciliations.
• Assist with onboarding new clients.
• Prepare trial balance.
• Analyze budgets and other financial information.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Complete required tax forms.
