Job summary

Laird Norton Wetherby is seeking an Associate, Business Development & Marketing Programs in a hybrid role based in San Francisco or Seattle. You will support BD and Marketing teams with data, materials, and reporting to drive growth in a relationship-driven wealth management firm.

The position targets early-career professionals with strong organization, detail orientation, and interest in learning how business development and marketing align to grow client relationships.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in business development, marketing, client service, operations, or administrative support.
• Strong attention to detail and comfort maintaining accurate information in systems such as Salesforce or another CRM.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and stakeholders.
• Clear written communication skills, including drafting professional emails, meeting notes, brief summaries, and basic reports.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Salesforce, Marketo, or similar tools is a plus.
• Professionalism and discretion when working with sensitive client, prospect, and firm information.
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• CRM & Pipeline Operations: maintain prospect records, COI relationships, pipeline stages, and activity notes.
• Pipeline Tracking: update BD pipeline reports and track stage progression.
• COI Relationship Data: maintain COI database with relationship owners and outreach notes.
• BD–Marketing Coordination: coordinate planning sessions, calendars, and follow-up notes.
• Shared Activity Calendar: maintain metrics/insights across events and content calendar.
• Request Coordination: route advisor and Marketing requests for efficient workflow.
• Prospect Research: conduct background research on new prospects and referrals.
• COI Research: summarize background information to support outreach planning.
• Sponsorship/Partnership Support: assist with logistics and follow-up.
• Content & Materials Management: organize BD/marketing library and update materials.
• Materials Support: updates to standard materials per prospect/advisor needs.
• Reporting & Analytics: prepare recurring reports and dashboards for leadership.
