Job summary

Jobot seeks an Assistant Project Manager in Sterling Heights, MI to support planning and execution of electrical contracting projects. You will assist in budgeting, scheduling, contract reviews, and negotiations, while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in construction
• Knowledge of RFIs, QC, change orders, submittals, cost control, contracts, negotiation, planning, scheduling, and blueprint reading.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in planning and executing construction projects, ensuring on-time delivery, budget adherence, and quality.
• Manage and monitor project costs, including forecasting, tracking, and cost control.
• Review and manage contracts to ensure terms are met and risks are mitigated.
• Negotiate with suppliers, subcontractors, and stakeholders for favorable terms.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinating with team members and stakeholders.
• Ensure construction safety by implementing safety protocols, inspections, and training.
• Read and interpret blueprints to align construction activities with design specifications.
