Job summary

Jobot is hiring an Assistant Project Manager to support large-scale electrical construction projects. You will work with Project Managers, Superintendents, and vendors through preconstruction to closeout in commercial/industrial settings.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in electrical construction or related roles, with strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Travel to active sites is expected. This role offers growth toward a full Project Manager position.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in electrical construction or project coordination.
• Experience supporting commercial/industrial electrical projects.
• Ability to read construction drawings, specs, and related docs.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to travel regularly to active project sites.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers through all phases of electrical construction projects.
• Coordinate activities between project management, field leadership, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and change orders.
• Maintain project logs and follow up on outstanding items.
• Assist with budgets, cost tracking, forecasting, and cost projections.
• Support change-order pricing with estimating and field teams.
• Review invoices for accuracy.
• Assist with purchase orders and procurement of equipment/materials.
• Track deliveries against schedules.
• Support schedules, lookaheads, and production tracking.
• Coordinate manpower with Superintendents and Foremen.
• Identify schedule delays, scope conflicts, field issues.
• Support QA/QC and compliance with plans and codes.
• Assist with inspections and testing coordination.
• Support safety expectations with field leadership.
• Coordinate punch-list activities and final inspections.
• Assemble as-builts, O&M manuals, warranties, and closeout docs.
