Job summary

GH Engage is seeking an Assistant Project Manager in Mount Prospect, IL to support construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. You will work closely with senior PMs, help develop schedules and budgets, and coordinate with subs, owners, architects, and engineers to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial construction; prior assistant PM or similar role preferred.
• Federal construction experience is highly preferred.
• Understanding of scheduling, budgeting, and project management.
• Experience with subcontractors, vendors, and client communications.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with MS Office and Procore/Bluebeam or similar.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers from preconstruction through closeout.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and execution plans.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, field teams, owners, architects, and engineers.
• Assist with managing RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and other project documentation.
• Track project progress, deliverables, and outstanding items to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
• Assist with reviewing subcontractor and supplier invoices, commitments, and project costs.
• Support project forecasting, financial reporting, and budget tracking.
• Help monitor compliance with contract requirements, quality standards, and safety regulations.
• Assist with identifying project risks, resolving issues, and coordinating solutions with the PM.
• Maintain organized and accurate project files and documentation.
• Participate in project meetings and communicate with stakeholders.
• Support the PM and field team with day-to-day coordination and administration.
