Opti Staffing in Tigard, OR is seeking an Accounts Payable & Payroll Clerk to join our growing client’s team. This full-time, onsite role supports two busy operations, handling vendor invoices, timekeeping, and payroll processing with accuracy.

You’ll review invoices, code expenses, run payroll, and assist with month-end tasks while maintaining confidential records. Strong organization and reliability are essential, with opportunities to grow into broader accounting responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in accounts payable, payroll, bookkeeping, or general accounting support preferred.
• Understanding of basic accounting principles and invoice processing.
• Familiarity with payroll processing and employee timekeeping.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices accurately and on time for two operations.
• Review invoices for proper coding, approvals, supporting documentation, and job costing.
• Enter and maintain accounts payable information in accounting systems.
• Assist with payment processing (checks, ACH) and other vendor payments.
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and PO issues.
• Maintain vendor records and accounting documentation.
• Assist with weekly payroll preparation and processing.
• Review timecards for accuracy and resolve discrepancies before payroll.
• Maintain confidential payroll and employee records.
• Support month-end accounting and general bookkeeping tasks.
• Communicate with vendors, employees, project teams, and management on questions.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiency.
