Job summary

A growth-oriented technology start-up located in Bainbridge Island is seeking an experienced Controller. This role involves leading the transition from cash-basis to accrual accounting while ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP. The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of accounting experience, especially in ecommerce settings, and be proficient with ERP systems like Rootstock. Competitive compensation includes a salary ranging from $165,000 to $195,000, along with equity participation and exceptional health benefits for the entire family.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience required.
• Extensive experience with ecommerce accounting, especially with Shopify and ShipStation.
• Direct experience with Rootstock ERP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the transition from cash-basis to accrual accounting.
• Prepare monthly financial statements including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow.
• Document accounting policies and implement internal controls.
