Job summary

KAPITAL is seeking a Mid-Level associate for its Bankruptcy & Restructuring Group with offices in Atlanta, New York, or Wilmington, with a strong preference for New York. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of bankruptcy experience and JD with bar admission in the intended jurisdiction.

The role requires excellent writing and communication skills, the ability to manage complex matters quickly, and a team-oriented approach to grow our national practice.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience representing debtors, creditors, lenders, investors and other stakeholders in bankruptcy matters.
• Experience with Chapter 11 proceedings, restructurings, distressed M&A and creditor negotiations.
• JD and active bar admission in the intended practice jurisdiction are required.

Responsibilities

• Represent debtors, creditors, lenders and other stakeholders in complex bankruptcy matters.
• Handle Chapter 11 proceedings, out-of-court restructurings and distressed M&A transactions.
• Contribute to growth and support of the national bankruptcy practice.
