Job summary

Success Matcher Recruitment is hiring its first marketing lead in San Francisco to shape growth strategies for a diagnostics and bioinformatics startup. You will drive campaigns across organic and paid social, events, and partnerships to raise awareness among patients and families while aligning with product and science teams.

You will manage contractors, track performance, and iterate on strategies to scale patient outreach.

Qualifications

• 4 to 10 years in D2C growth or performance marketing, covering both paid and organic social.
• At least 1 year of D2C marketing at an early-stage startup (Seed to Series C), where you built a marketing motion from 0 to 1.
• A track record of organic and paid social campaigns you can show with clear results.
• Daily use of frontier AI tools (such as Claude or Cursor) in your work.
• Clear, confident communication, both spoken and written.
• Comfort marketing to cancer patients and their families with care, empathy and attention to compliance.

Responsibilities

• Define the growth marketing strategy with the founding and patient engagement teams.
• Develop and launch patient awareness campaigns across organic social, paid social, events and other channels.
• Build and support marketing relationships with patient advocacy groups and support communities.
• Own and optimize SEO and AEO (answer-engine optimization for AI search).
• Work with product and science teams to explain a complex scientific offering in terms patients and families understand.
• Define, track and report success metrics for every campaign.
• Manage marketing contractors and budgets.
