Job summary

Bodman seeks a Director of Business Development and Marketing in Detroit, MI. This permanent full-time role reports to the Chief Strategy Officer and works with Marketing Partners to implement the firm’s strategic plan in business development and marketing.

The ideal candidate leads the BD/Marketing department, mentors staff, and partners with attorneys, practice groups, and client teams to generate growth and strengthen client relationships. Strong leadership and industry insight are essential.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field.
• Ten+ years of experience in BD, marketing, or communications/journalism with three years in a managerial role.
• Experience in a professional services setting.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote a business development mindset firm-wide, especially among attorneys.
• Prepare and track the annual Marketing Budget and align BD/marketing investments with initiatives.
• Monitor Brand equity and coordinate client communications programs and digital marketing strategies.
• Direct development and execution of client communication campaigns, PR, and social media.
