Job summary

McKinsey & Company is seeking a data analytics professional to collaborate with colleagues and clients in creating new strategies across marketing, pricing, and analytics transformation. You will expand analytics capabilities, architect innovative solutions, and drive data-driven decision making for diverse client engagements.

You will lead deep analytics on broad datasets, shape knowledge development within McKinsey's analytics practice, and contribute to the Growth, Marketing & Sales portfolio

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in computer science, machine learning, applied statistics, mathematics, engineering, AI, or related field.
• Strong academic qualifications with emphasis on database management and math (linear algebra, calculus).
• Emerging knowledge in statistical data analysis and data mining packages (R, SAS, SPSS, Alteryx, MatLab, STATA, Excel).
• Emerging knowledge of data management tools including SQL/RDBMS, NoSQL (MongoDB), Hadoop and/or other big data technologies.
• Programming skills in Python, R, and/or Java.
• Emerging knowledge in linking multiple data platforms (social media, open data) and data visualization tools (Tableau).
• Intellectual curiosity and strong problem-solving, quantitative skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with colleagues and clients to develop analytics strategies across client projects.
• Expand analytics capabilities and architect new analytics strategies and applications.
• Apply advanced analytic and quantitative tools to derive insights and inform decisions.
• Be a core member of the consulting team, conducting deep analytics on client and external data.
• Help develop knowledge for McKinsey's analytics group and share methods across teams.
