Job description

About Braven

We're building the infrastructure that connects the world's capital with the world's risk. Our ambition is to make that connection a catalyst for financial innovation at scale.

For insurance entrepreneurs, that means a chance to turn ideas into programs and build new companies. For capital providers, it means better ways to deploy capital and participate in the economy of the future. We want to help more businesses come to life, and capital reach the risks it should be backing.

We're building two products to make that vision real. An MGA operating system to help MGAs launch and scale extremely efficient insurance programs. A risk transfer marketplace where MGAs and capacity providers meet, with a transparency layer that lets risk and capital flow freely through the economy.

The role

We've built a lot. Now we're going to tell the world who we are, what we do and why we do it. You're our first marketing hire, and this is a doing role. You'll own the day-to-day execution of Braven's marketing and make most of it yourself: the posts, the videos, the landing pages, the event, the deck Sales needs. You'll help set priorities with the COO, then take each project from brief to published to followed up. No one will hand you a finished strategy. You'll figure out what works by shipping, measuring and shipping again. We already have things that work: a podcast, guides, a glossary, a voice people notice. Your job is to do a lot more of it, and do it better.

How we work

We're resourceful, direct, honest and kind. We move quickly, take responsibility for our work and build closely with our clients. You'll have room to propose ideas, test them and improve what we do.

What you'll do
  • Tell Braven's story in words specialty insurance people actually use.
  • Make a lot of stuff, every week: posts, videos, customer stories, newsletters, landing pages. Own the content calendar from planning to publishing.
  • Turn product updates, customer stories and industry insights into content, working closely with Product, Sales and Customer Success.
  • Grow our channels: LinkedIn, YouTube, the podcast, the website. Keep website content and landing pages accurate, current and on brand.
  • Run events. Our own dinners and meetups, plus the industry conferences where our buyers are, across Latam, the US and the UK. Before each one, identify the attendees and accounts that matter, build a meeting plan with Sales and run the outreach. After, run the follow-up until it turns into conversations.
  • Give Sales and Customer Success what they need: one pagers, decks, case studies, email templates, and campaigns that get meetings.
  • Track content, email and event performance. Keep contacts organized in the CRM. Work with Sales to learn which activities create qualified conversations, do more of those, and kill what doesn't.
  • Apply Braven's voice and visual guidelines consistently across every asset.
What we're looking for
  • You've done marketing at a startup, and you can show work you made yourself, not work you managed.
  • You write well and fast in English. Spanish is a plus.
  • You use AI tools to make more, faster, with your own judgment guiding accuracy, quality and voice.
  • You're comfortable making everyday marketing assets with several tools. You don't need a designer to ship a post.
  • You'd rather ship ten things and learn than plan one for a month.
  • You manage deadlines, flag blockers early and keep people informed without being asked.
  • You're curious about insurance and can learn a technical industry quickly.
  • You want the real startup experience: small team, lots of ownership, your work visible on day one.
  • Based in San Francisco, or in Latam within US hours: Mexico, Central America, Colombia, Ecuador or Peru. Available to travel for events and customer visits.
  • Nice to have: B2B, fintech or insurance. CRM and email tools. Basic video editing or SEO.
What success looks like

Braven shows up every week, in every channel, sounding like Braven. Sales has what it needs before it asks. Events turn into meetings, and meetings into pipeline.

This isn't for you if
  • You want a big budget and an agency to do the work.
  • You want to manage a team before you've built anything.
  • You need a finished strategy before you can start making things.
