Job summary

HRforGrowth is seeking a Forklift Driver to join a client’s expanding team in Michigan. The role focuses on safe operation of powered equipment, accurate picking/packing, and updating records in the warehouse system.

You will support shipping, receiving, and staging while maintaining a clean, safe work environment. Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED, warehouse experience, and forklift certification or the ability to obtain it within 30 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or three years of relevant warehouse experience.
• Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience required.
• Current forklift certification or the ability to become certified within 30 days required.
• Must be able to read and understand written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
• Able to lift up to 40 pounds alone and in team-lift environment.
• Able to climb ladders as needed.

Responsibilities

• Safe and efficient operation of all power-operated equipment that requires certification.
• Accurately pick and pack items for shipment, potentially with a forklift.
• Complete required paperwork and project time-tracking documentation.
• Update the Warehouse Management system with transactions.
• Assist team members in meeting and exceeding customer expectations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
