Job summary

ABB Optical Group is seeking an Optical Sales Consultant to drive growth with Eye Care Practitioners in the designated territory. You will use consultative selling to expand relationships across ABB pillars, meeting quotas and boosting margins through the full line of optical products and services.

The role is field-based outside sales with daily in-person visits to accounts and about 30–50% overnight travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of field-based, B2B sales experience or 3 years of optical retail sales with revenue goals.
• Must possess a valid state driver's license.
• Proficient with Excel and MS Office tools (Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).
• Field-based position requiring daily in-person visits to customer accounts.
• Overnight travel may be required, approximately 30–50% depending on geography.

Responsibilities

• Achieve quarterly sales objectives through consultative selling with face-to-face meetings with new, potential, and established accounts.
• Manage a book of existing business including large ABB customers, delivering targeted messages with appropriate call frequency.
• Grow territory revenue by expanding existing accounts and cold-calling new prospects.
• Cross-sell across product lines to increase revenue and meet sales goals.
• Negotiate customer service agreements and contracts outlining the ABB–Customer relationship.
• Conduct quarterly business reviews to align products/services with account needs.
• Build relationships with top office staff and provide product/service training when appropriate.
• Maintain pricing, policies, and procedures accuracy; track sales data to identify opportunities.
