Job summary

Bühler is seeking a Sales Director to lead the Grinding and Dispersing business across North America from Minnesota. You will drive sales growth, build strong customer partnerships, and mentor a high-performing sales team to meet ambitious targets.

The role requires 8–10 years of managing and sales experience in capital equipment, international exposure, and strong leadership. Travel up to 50% and a passion for delivering value-driven solutions are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or equivalent.
• 8-10 years plus of managing and sales experience, preferably in a capital equipment manufacturing environment on an international level.
• Demonstrates leadership as an effective role model for the department.
• Sufficient technical knowledge of products to be sold.
• Excellent communication skills and relationship building with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and make decisions independently.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to plan, prioritize, coordinate, delegate, and manage multiple tasks.
• Understands confidentiality of organizational and employee information.
• Proactive team player with ownership mindset.
• Ability to identify, evaluate, solve problems and guide resolutions at strategic and functional level.
• Speaks and understands English.
• Domestic and international travel 30-50% time.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop sales leadership across the North America region.
• Recruit, train, develop and retain high talent within the sales teams.
• Foster and manage relationships with customers and key accounts.
• Ensure department productivity and quality goals are met.
• Resolve customer issues and improve satisfaction where interfaces exist.
• Communicate and participate in solving sales and growth challenges for the North America region.
• Be a beacon of Bühler culture; lead by example to inspire and motivate employees.
• Drive business growth and exceed targets.
• Develop and expand the customer base for Grinding and Dispersing within the region.
• Maintain up-to-date product knowledge and attend trade shows and industry events.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
