Job summary

CVS Health, through its Retail locations, offers a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern program designed to translate classroom learning into real-world practice under a pharmacist preceptor.

Interns assist the pharmacy team to ensure prescriptions are filled safely and accurately, participate in immunizations where permitted, and gain insight into store, district and regional operations while delivering compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• Accepted into ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists and technicians to ensure prescriptions are filled safely and accurately.
• Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at each workstation to maintain SOPs.
• Provide empathetic service and engage patients across pick-up, drive-thru, and phone.
• Support immunizations and other services as permitted by state law.
• Maintain inventory activities and participate in training and coaching.
