Job summary

San Diego Tourism Authority in San Diego, CA, seeks a Development Manager in the Marketing Partnerships team. You will drive revenue through sponsorships, philanthropic contributions, grants, and partnerships, managing a portfolio of sponsors, donors, and funders to meet an annual revenue target of $500k-$1M.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing Partnerships, you will develop proposals, manage grant reporting, and collaborate across departments to deliver on commitments and grow revenue

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of fundraising, partnership development or related experience.
• Proven ability to secure donations or grants of $50,000+.
• Strong written and verbal communication for proposals and reports.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Achieve annual revenue goals through sponsorships, philanthropy, grants and partnerships.
• Manage and grow an assigned portfolio of sponsors, donors and funders.
• Prepare proposals, budgets, and reporting to align with priorities.
• Develop cultivation and renewal strategies and maintain CRM records.
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather data for proposals and impact reporting.
