Job summary

The New York Times is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer for the Conversion team.

You will build features across desktop and mobile using React, TypeScript, Node.js and Go on the AWS cloud, delivering measurable impact on subscriptions and revenue.

You will collaborate with design, data, marketing and product managers, participate in code reviews and on-call rotations, and help ship end-to-end from idea to production.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of full-time software engineering on large-scale web apps.
• Experience with TypeScript and React.
• Familiarity with server-side development (Node.js or Go) or willingness to learn.
• Ability to collaborate with designers, product managers, and other engineers to ship features.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to building the conversion funnel across NYT platforms and services.
• Improve payment workflows for digital and print subscriptions.
• Collaborate with design, data, marketing and other teams to impact NYT's business.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews and A/B test brainstorms.
• Join on-call rotations for the systems you help build.
• Partner with Project, Product, Design and Engineering Management to deliver projects.
• Support the company's commitment to journalistic independence.
