Job summary

The New York Times is seeking a Full-Stack Software Engineer on the Reflections team in New York. You will build personalized experiences, collaborate with native mobile, web/backend, QA, product managers, designers, and data experts to deliver high-quality, scalable features across our platforms.

You are product-minded, enjoy solving user problems, and will own features from design through production, participate in on-call rotations, and help shape products that reach millions of readers.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience delivering user-facing features in a collaborative setting.
• Ownership of features from implementation through launch with Product/Design/Engineering.
• Experience navigating and resolving technical challenges.
• Experience partnering with Product, Design and Engineering to solve user problems.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-stack feature development from design to production.
• Collaborate with design, product, web/backend and mobile engineers to refine requirements.
• Contribute ideas that shape product direction and take on meaningful work.
• Develop full-stack solutions across the technology stack.
• Provide production support via on-call rotations.
• Contribute to team processes and norms.
