Job summary

LeadCar Toyota Monroe and LeadCar Chevrolet Monroe is seeking an Accounting Assistant to support daily financial operations at our Monroe, WI location. You will process vendor invoices, manage accounts payable, and assist with month-end activities to ensure accurate records.

Qualified candidates have an associates degree in accounting or equivalent experience, strong Excel skills, and a customer-focused approach. Travel to other company locations and training may be required.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in accounting preferred or 5 years accounting work experience.
• Must have knowledge of principles and processes for providing exceptional customer service.
• Must have ability to establish productive, cooperative relationships with customers, vendors, coworkers and management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel; administrative and clerical procedures and systems.

Responsibilities

• Receive, review, and process vendor invoices for accuracy, post invoices daily, and reconcile vendor statements to ensure accurate, timely payments.
• Prepares monthly accounts payable check run checks.
• Maintains W-9 documentation for vendors and ensures tax reporting compliance; prepares 1099 forms at year-end.
• Prepares and distributes monthly accounts receivable statements; monitors balances and reports past-due accounts.
• Maintains records of Sales and Use Tax Exemption Certificates and ensures regulatory compliance.
• Posts deals on a daily basis.
• Assist with month-end reconciliations and visa statements reconciliation.
• Maintain a professional demeanor aligned with company culture.
