Job summary

DUAL North America, Inc. is seeking an Associate Underwriter for the E&S Property division in a hybrid role based in Atlanta, GA or Chicago, IL.

You will assist with account quoting, binding, and communications across the underwriting lifecycle, supporting a team of underwriters handling non-standard risks. This entry-level position targets individuals with a bachelor’s degree and 0–1 year of insurance experience, offering exposure to risk analysis, broker relationships, and career progression

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 0–1 year underwriter or insurance experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Process submissions by providing account triage for Underwriters.
• Provide backup support for Underwriters when traveling in the market.
• Gather and compile information required to quote and/or bind an account.
• Generate, edit, and send out correspondence on behalf of Underwriters.
• Demonstrate basic understanding of underwriting principles.
• Learn market dynamics and product differences from weekly meetings.
• Provide customer service and underwriting support to meet premium goals.
• Build relationships with producers under supervision.
• Fill in for team members to ensure continuity during peak periods.
• Assist Underwriters as requested.
• Complete other related clerical duties.
