Gamma is seeking an engineering leader for Growth, overseeing monetization infrastructure and product-led growth. The role leads an engineering team, focusing on payments, subscriptions, pricing, onboarding, and lifecycle experiences.

This position is based in San Francisco with in-office 4-5 days a week and flexibility for focused remote work. You will mentor engineers, collaborate with product, design, data, and other teams, and move fast on experiments while building durable systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a senior+ engineer with leadership experience.
• 2+ years managing high-performing teams.
• Experience leading growth engineering with activation/retention/conversion metrics.
• Experience with monetization or payments infrastructure (subscriptions, billing, pricing).
• Strong ability to reason about product experiences and funnels.
• High cross-functional fluency and collaboration skills.
• Comfort navigating ambiguity to drive growth bets and guide architecture.

Responsibilities

• Lead and scale the engineering team across monetization infra and product-led growth.
• Own the monetization platform: payments, subscriptions, billing, pricing systems.
• Own growth surfaces: onboarding, activation flows, in-product education, lifecycle experiences, notifications.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, data, and other engineering teams.
• Build a fast-moving team for experiments while delivering durable shared systems.
• Mentor, coach, and develop engineers on the team.
• Identify opportunities or misalignment and address them with leadership.
