Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Build For Growth Engineer I (Process or Electrical) at the Ravena Cement Plant in NY. The role begins as part of a 14-month development program designed to provide foundational knowledge across cement plant operations.

The candidate will work on process improvements, automation, SAP reporting, and safety programs while gaining hands-on experience in both electrical and process engineering disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• 0–3 years of work experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Travel up to 5% of time.
• Self-starter and team player with safety mindset.

Responsibilities

• Analyze plant operations and recommend process improvements with cost/benefit analyses.
• Develop process control automation and computer applications for process control.
• Prepare computer reports on operating efficiencies and failure investigations.
• Perform tests on plant systems to assess equipment efficiencies.
• Assist management in maintaining plant environmental and quality performance.
• Train shift supervisors for SAP reporting and use of TIS.
• Participate in new system implementations (eg. TIS).
• Conduct ISO audits and assist with month-end activities.
• Adhere to health, safety, and environmental policies.
