Perplexity in New York seeks a Growth Engineer to own growth surfaces across activation, onboarding, SEO, lifecycle, conversion, retention, and paid upgrade moments for Computer and Perplexity products. You design experiments, instrument features, and ship growth initiatives end-to-end.

2+ years of professional software engineering experience.

Responsibilities

Design and own growth surfaces across the full funnel for Perplexity products.
Lead experiments end-to-end from hypothesis and instrumentation through implementation and rollout.
Build applied AI systems for high-intent segments and personalization.
Launch vertical-specific experiences that connect AI capabilities to measurable adoption and revenue outcomes.
Hill-climb on activation, paid conversion, retention and habit formation with clean data and trustworthy readouts.
Partner with Product, Design, Data Science, Monetization, Marketing, and Applied AI to translate signals into durable product surfaces.
