Job summary

Citi Trends is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help lead daily store operations, drive sales, and support staffing and development. You will work closely with the Store Manager to ensure operational excellence and a strong customer experience.

You will supervise associates, assist with recruiting, onboarding, and training, and help maintain proper staffing levels while upholding company policies and loss-prevention standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–4 years of experience as an Assistant Manager or similar retail leadership role.
• 3–5 years of overall retail experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and people leadership skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations, including percentages.

Responsibilities

• Support daily store operations to ensure sales goals and customer experience standards are met.
• Monitor sales activity and provide guidance to associates to deliver excellent customer service.
• Assist with inventory control, transactions, and shrink prevention efforts.
• Help with hiring, onboarding, and development of store associates.
• Supervise and support store associates in sales, inventory, cash handling, and customer service.
