Job summary

Citi Trends is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in the United States to help drive daily store operations, lead a team, and support hiring and onboarding of associates.

You will collaborate with the Store Manager to meet sales goals, maintain operational excellence, and ensure policies are followed. The role requires strong communication, team leadership, and flexibility to work nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–4 years of experience as an Assistant Manager or similar retail leadership role.
• 3–5 years of overall retail experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and people leadership skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations, including percentages.

Responsibilities

• Support daily store operations to meet sales goals and customer experience standards.
• Monitor sales activity and guide associates to deliver excellent service.
• Assist with inventory control, transactions, and shrink prevention.
• Ensure compliance with Citi Trends policies and standards.
• Supervise and coach store associates in sales, cash handling, and service.
• Support hiring, onboarding, and training of new staff.
• Maintain appropriate staffing levels and retention efforts.
• Provide ongoing feedback and performance support to associates.
• Ensure a safe, organized, customer-focused store environment.
• Support merchandising, operational, and visual standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
