Job summary

Lippert seeks a Product Engineer in Indiana to drive design and development from concept through production for innovative products. You will apply engineering principles, collaborate with customers and suppliers, and contribute to cost reduction and quality improvements.

You will work in a team environment, participate in validation testing, and support manufacturing with production-ready documentation and parameters. Full-time role with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering related field.
• 3+ years’ experience in use of 3D CAD.
• Must be capable of applying engineering principles in broad areas of assignments.
• Must be able to build relationships with customers and suppliers.
• Self-motivated individual requiring minimal supervisory guidance.
• Drive technical decisions.
• Ability to prepare technical and strategic issues for management decisions.
• Effective strategic, long-term and planning thought processes.
• Good communication and presentation skills to both customers and cross functional team.
• Demonstrates a commitment to Quality, LEAN, and continuous improvement.
• Focused on customer needs, builds and maintains trust in this relationship.

Responsibilities

• Design, development, and evaluation of major new products with impact on cost and delivery.
• Work in multidisciplinary teams to complete projects and transition to production.
• Project design and development cost estimation throughout the process.
• Provide design concepts, development timetables and costs for review.
• Create test plans and complete validation testing with Lab technicians.
• Prepare drawings and prototypes meeting engineering standards and project goals.
• Establish audits and reviews test plans to align results with goals.
• Collaborate with customer and cross functional team on design.
• Work with Manufacturing Engineering and Suppliers to ensure efficient manufacture and assembly.
• Finalize engineering documentation for product release.
• Assist manufacturing with production validation parameters.
• Support internal engineering standards and resource planning.
