Job summary

Fairwinds Technologies is seeking an entry-level FPGA Engineer to contribute to xG and Mixed Signal product development. You will design, simulate, and verify FPGA logic using VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog, and collaborate with DSP and embedded software teams on fixed-point hardware implementations.

The role covers algorithm translation, testbench creation, and hardware bring-up across RF front ends, data converters, and high-speed interfaces in a hands-on environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Experience with FPGA development, digital logic, computer architecture, or embedded systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, simulate, and verify FPGA logic using VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog.
• Develop modular data movement, timing, and control modules.
• Create testbenches, test vectors, and verification procedures.
• Use vendor tools to synthesize, place-and-route, and program devices.
• Assist with board bring-up and high-speed interfaces.
• Collaborate with DSP and embedded software engineers on integration.
