Job summary

StevenDouglas is seeking a hands-on CFO/Finance leader to build and scale a finance function within a fast-paced, membership-based business. You will lead day-to-day accounting operations, establish policies, and partner with the CFO on strategic financial decisions.

This role offers growth potential as you help expand the accounting team and implement scalable processes, ERP evaluations, budgeting, cash flow management, and strong internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field.
• CPA preferred.
• 812+ years of relevant accounting/finance experience.
• Mix of public accounting and/or corporate experience.
• Experience in a Controller or Assistant Controller capacity.
• Strong process improvement and systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, close process, and financial reporting
• Build and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls from the ground up
• Partner with the CFO on financial strategy, reporting, and operational decision-making
• Assist in developing scalable processes to support a high-growth, membership-based business model
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management initiatives
• Evaluate and optimize ERP and financial systems (current platform in place)
• Play a key role in building out the accounting/finance team over time
