A community bank in Baton Rouge is seeking an experienced Branch Manager to lead a new branch. This role focuses on growing deposits and loans while building strong community connections and promoting relationship banking.

The Branch Manager will oversee daily operations, develop retail staff, and actively participate in loan processing and underwriting, ensuring excellent customer service and adherence to internal controls. Strong local market knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of bank branch management experience.
• Proven ability to generate new business and grow deposits and loans.
• Hands-on loan-processing experience beyond administrative support.
• Experience leading branch operations and developing retail staff.
• Strong knowledge of the Baton Rouge market and local relationships.
• Retail/relationship banking experience preferred.
• Horizon core system experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with local businesses, customers, referral partners, and community organizations.
• Prospect for new business and drive deposit and loan growth.
• Lead daily branch operations, including staffing, service, procedures, and internal controls.
• Coach and support retail staff in relationship development and customer service.
• Work directly with customers on loan applications and move loans through documentation, underwriting, and closing.
• Identify customer needs and recommend banking and lending solutions.
• Represent the bank at community and business events.
