Job summary

Penn Station Shadyside is seeking an Assistant General Manager to serve as the right hand to the General Manager, developing a young team, reinforcing strong systems, and keeping the operation smooth during high-volume shifts.

This full-time role offers a clear path to General Manager, hands-on leadership from a GM who wants to grow leaders, and a fast-paced environment where performance and guest experience come first.

Qualifications

• Experience leading fast-casual teams.
• Proven ability to develop people and build a cohesive crew.
• Excellent communication under pressure and in fast-moving environments.
• Flexible to work 50 hours per week, including mornings, evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead from the front during peak business hours with urgency and accountability.
• Train, mentor, and develop a young crew, many new to the industry.
• Collaborate with the GM to build sustainable systems and improve operations.
• Solve problems decisively, especially under pressure.
• Uphold high standards for quality, cleanliness, and food safety.
• Take ownership of results, and share wins with the team.
