Job summary

Core6 Talent is seeking an Accounting Manager to own complex accounting work, partner with operations, and act as a technical resource to the CFO and Controller. This hands-on role focuses on accurate job costing, close ownership, and system optimization as the company scales.

The role emphasizes collaboration with project managers, emphasis on thorough reconciliations, and ongoing process improvements to strengthen the finance function for growth and potential acquisitions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience with job costing, WIP, and cost accounting.
• Strong month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and financial reporting.
• Experience with ERP migrations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Cost Accounting & WIP: review job cost reports with Project Managers and ensure costs are coded to projects.
• Own the Close: manage key close activities, journal entries, accruals, reconciliations across cash, prepaids, fixed assets and debt.
• Complex Reconciliations: resolve balance sheet and project-related reconciliations with subledgers and GL.
• Financial Reporting & Analysis: support monthly statements, investigate variances and ensure accurate reflections of performance.
• M&A Support: assist CFO/Controller with due diligence and integration of acquired companies.
• System Optimization: maximize Foundation Software use and prep finance for ERP migration to NetSuite.
• Process Improvement: strengthen accounting processes and workflows for scalability.
• Process Integrity: act as a quality control layer for financial data.
