Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Growth Data Scientist to accelerate our global footprint by improving new user acquisition and conversion strategies. You will partner with Product, Engineering, and Design to define metrics, analyze behavior, design experiments, and quantify impact using causal inference models.

You will own data and metrics from core logs to visualizations, guide code reviews, and ensure rigorous experimentation and responsible use of AI tools in daily workflows.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in a quantitative field with ≥5+ years of relevant experience, or PhD with ≥3+ years.
• Experience driving impactful data science projects tackling ambiguous problems.
• Ability to translate data learnings into compelling stakeholder stories.
• Practical expertise in applying complex modeling frameworks to business problems.
• Professional experience using SQL and Python.
• Demonstrates our core cultural values and responsible use of generative AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct analysis and deep dives on ambiguous problems to provide actionable insights.
• Own a broad scope of data and metrics from logging to visualizations.
• Guide code reviews and ensure robust ETL processes and data quality.
• Maintain rigorous experimentation and causal analyses to build stakeholder confidence.
