Job summary

NewsBreak is seeking a hands-on growth engineer who can design and ship technical growth loops, own budgets and the roadmap, and communicate complex results to senior leaders. You will build acquisition funnels, onboarding flows, and monetization experiments, bridging engineering execution with business outcomes.

You’ll work closely with executives, brand partners, and clients, turning data into actionable recommendations, and driving go-to-market strategies.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in CS/Engineering from a top-tier university; MBA a plus.
• Hands-on coding ability in Python/SQL/JS and experience with growth analytics tools.
• 3+ years in growth engineering, performance marketing, or a technical growth role with budget/P&L ownership.
• Excellent communication and executive presence, able to explain complex growth concepts to senior executives.
• Founder's mindset, builder's mentality, and end-to-end ownership of initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship technical growth mechanisms including acquisition funnels, onboarding flows, referral/viral loops, activation triggers, and monetization experiments.
• Own and optimize acquisition budgets and channels; define tracking specs and analytics events with engineering (attribution, pixels, A/B testing, cohort analysis).
• Prototype and test growth hypotheses across new AI products.
• Build business cases for growth bets, including market sizing and go-to-market strategy; present to senior executives.
• Translate growth experiments and data into clear, actionable recommendations and secure buy-in.
