Job summary

Nourish, a leading AI-native digital health company, seeks an Engineering Manager to lead Growth Activation in a hands-on, strategic role. You will supervise 4–5 engineers, guide architecture, and partner with clinical, product, design, and analytics teams to optimize patient journeys and care outcomes.

You will drive scoping, sprints, and measurable outcomes while maintaining close ties to implementation and architecture.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience with modern full-stack technologies
• 2+ years of hands-on engineering management experience
• Experience hiring engineers and managing performance and career development
• Ability to pair program and contribute technically when needed
• Strong product judgment: write PRDs, size opportunities, and drive progress

Responsibilities

• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team of 4-5 engineers with strong technical ownership
• Coach engineers through regular feedback, career development, calibration, and performance management
• Scale the team through recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding
• Stay hands-on through architecture, pair programming, coding, code reviews, and on-call
• Partner with product and design to write requirements, shape roadmaps, scope work, plan sprints, and deliver measurable outcomes
• Drive thoughtful decisions around system design, code quality, observability, reliability, and scalability
• Establish effective team rituals, including sprint planning and quarterly planning
• Operate with urgency in a fast-paced environment
• Build a high-velocity experimentation culture with short iteration cycles
• Improve patient-provider matching across goals, constraints, and outcomes
• Own lifecycle experiences from first appointment to reactivation
• Collaborate with Acquisition, Billing, Provider Supply, product, design, and analytics
