Job summary

Federated Co-ops Inc. is seeking an Agronomy Service Representative to support farmers by planning, ordering, and using Federated products and services.

You will work with location and sales teams to deliver fertilizer, crop protection, seed, and energy products while ensuring a first-class customer experience. The role involves managing a portfolio of customers, processing orders, tracking calls, assisting with custom application services, and participating in monthly sales meetings.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelors degree in Agronomy and Crop Science or equivalent.
• Active custom applicator license or ability to obtain.
• Active CDL or ability to obtain CDL and endorsements.
• Two to four years related experience working with farmers and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Agriculture background and sales experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan farm calls with Location Manager and Sales Manager and contact current customers.
• Manage a suite of existing Federated customers and build relationships to understand farm operation needs.
• Track all calls and contacts on Federated web-based sales contacts and leads.
• Work with customers during planning and growing seasons to understand needs and facilitate product orders and financing.
• Deliver products including fertilizer and application of fertilizer and chemicals; ensure quality.
• Support and facilitate in-store counter sales.
• Assist Location Manager with monitoring inventories and customer invoicing.
• Coordinate and support custom application services with customers.
• Work extended hours during busy season including evenings/weekends as needed.
