Overview

The Disability Financial Underwriter will work with Short Term and Long Term Disability opportunities to prepare offers for prospective and renewal clients in the small and mid-market group segments. Provide appropriate rationale and support to Sales, clients and other areas within the organization surrounding risk selection, financial analysis, rate computations and financial activity. Provide expense estimates and accurate analysis of financial exhibits. Understand department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Make decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and require minimal direction and receive guidance where needed. Follow established guidelines/procedures.

  • Industry related course work is preferred but not required
