A leading global law firm is seeking a Group Travel and Events Specialist to manage event travel coordination and logistics. This role focuses on collaborating with stakeholders to plan and ensure successful internal and external events while leveraging expertise in the MICE industry. Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world's leading global law firms with offices in strategic hubs of commerce, law, and government across North America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, is seeking to hire a Group Travel and Events Specialist. Reporting to Global Travel Manager, the Group Travel and Events Specialist is responsible for maintaining a comprehensive, firm-wide overview of events, ranging in size and designed for both internal and external audiences. This role coordinates group travel needs for events, academies, recruiting and trials with the firm's travel management company and ensures that other internal resource needs, including IT and Vender Management Office are being addressed.
This position can be located in any of the following offices: New York, Washington DC, or Philadelphia offices and offers a hybrid in-office/remote working schedule.
Key responsibilities include:
Source hotels for firmwide groups and events. This includes meeting with key stakeholder to review location, number of attendees, meeting space needs and audio/visual equipment.
Manage rooming lists and meet deadlines when they are due to the hotel.
Maintain a centralized calendar of events, academies and meetings as a resource for the firm. This calendar will be instrumental in identifying conflicts and resource needs.
Work with the event owners to determine resources needed including air/rail and ground travel, lodging, IT and vendor agreements.
Engage the travel management company to set up and support the travel related needs of these events and trials. Encourage event owners to work directly with a lead agent at the travel management company but be prepared to step in to assist when necessary.
Ensure there is good communication among the parties throughout the process including a post event meeting to determine lessons learned supporting continuous process improvement.
Confirm that all Hotel/Meeting Space/Food invoices have been received and processed for payment.
Experience and qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years in the MICE industry and event experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Proficient in Cvent is required.
Prior experience managing multiple projects at one time.
CMP designation and SMMP is a plus.

For positions in New York, NY the salary range for this job posting is: $91,500 - $146,325
For positions in Washington DC the salary range for this job posting is: $84,200 - $134,600
The base salary or hourly wage range for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors. The final salary or hourly wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances. Additionally, salary or hourly wages may be only part of the total compensation package. The total compensation package for this position may also include a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
