Job summary

Connections Wellness Group in Mansfield, TX is seeking a Group Therapist I to support our PHP/IOP oriented program. This role involves facilitating psychoeducational and process groups, completing treatment plans, and collaborating with a dynamic treatment team.

PRN position requires a Master’s in social work or counseling, an active clinical license (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, etc.), and experience with mental health and substance use disorders. Pre-employment screen and background check are required.

Position Summary

Day‑to‑day job functions include facilitating psychoeducational groups and process groups, completing treatment plans and updates, and active engagement with a dynamic treatment team. This team member will also assist in the development and implementation of a holistic, evidence‑based curriculum that focuses on addressing patient symptoms and building necessary skills to assist our patients in connecting back to what matters most while establishing a clear path to long‑term wellness.

PRN Requirements

• Ensure that your available time is updated on the PRN availability calendar.
• Cannot deny three (3) provided shifts within each quarter.
• Respond to coverage requests by leadership within 48 hours.
• Attend all training/in‑service to stay on top of process and policy updates. If you are unable to attend, communicate with your primary supervisor to ensure you receive the information.

Qualifications

• Education: Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or equivalent field.
• License: Current unencumbered clinical license (LPC, LPC‑A, LCSW, LMSW, LMFT, LMFT‑A, LCDC) per state of practice guidelines.
• Experience: Demonstrated experience supporting individuals with mental health and substance use disorders, including dual diagnosis populations. Proven background working across higher levels of care, including inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization (PHP), and intensive outpatient (IOP) settings.

Additional Requirements

A thorough knowledge of and adherence to ethical guidelines as well as state and federal guidelines and compliance regulations (HIPAA, Mandated Reporting, etc.). Employees will also maintain adequate professional liability insurance.
