Job summary

Connections Wellness Group in Southlake, TX is seeking a Group Therapist I for PRN coverage to facilitate psychoeducational and process groups and support the treatment team in planning and updates. You will contribute to a holistic, evidence-based curriculum focused on addressing patient symptoms and building skills for long-term wellness.

The position requires a Master’s degree in social work or counseling, an active clinical license, and experience with PHP/IOP settings.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or equivalent field is required.
• Current unencumbered clinical license (LPC, LPC-A, LCSW, LMSW, LMFT, LMFT-A, LCDC) per state guidelines.
• Experience in mental health and substance use disorders; experience across higher levels of care (inpatient, residential, PHP, IOP).

Position Summary

Day-to-day job functions include facilitating psychoeducational groups and process groups, completing treatment plans and updates, and active engagement with a dynamic treatment team. This team member will also assist in the development and implementation of a holistic, evidence-based curriculum that focuses on addressing patient symptoms and building necessary skills to assist our patients in connecting back to what matters most while establishing a clear path to long‑term wellness.

PRN Employee Requirements

• -You must ensure that your available time is updated on the PRN availability calendar.
• -Cannot deny three (3) provided shifts within each quarter.
• -You must respond to coverage requests by leadership within 48 hours.
• -You must attend all training/in‑service in order to stay on top of process and policy updates. If you are unable to attend, you must communicate with your primary supervisor to ensure you receive the information.

Qualifications

• Education: Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or equivalent field.
• License: Current unencumbered clinical license (LPC, LPC-A, LCSW, LMSW, LMFT, LMFT-A, LCDC) per state of practice guidelines.
• Experience: Demonstrated experience supporting individuals with mental health and substance use disorders, including dual diagnosis populations. Proven background working across higher levels of care, including inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization (PHP), and intensive outpatient (IOP) settings

Additional Requirements

A thorough knowledge of and adherence to ethical guidelines as well as state and federal guidelines and compliance regulations (HIPAA, Mandated Reporting, etc.). Employees will also maintain adequate professional liability insurance.

Applicants who have been patients of any program or provider at the facility are eligible for employment under the conditions outlined below: For private practice therapy and medication management, the applicant must have discontinued or transferred their treatment to a provider or providers outside of the facility. For PHP/IOP services, the applicant must have been discharged from the program at least 2 years before applying for employment
