Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring Group Therapists for the Detox and Residential treatment facility in Aurora, CO. Shifts run Tuesday through Saturday, with optional weekend availability.

The role focuses on delivering group therapy, psychoeducation, and recovery tools to clients across detox and residential programs. The candidate will collaborate with clinical staff, maintain documentation, and ensure all assessments and charting are complete.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling, or related field is preferred.
• Min. one year experience in treatment industry preferred.
• Valid licensure to practice as a clinician in this state (CAS) required.
• If in recovery, at least one year of sustained sobriety is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct group therapy, psychoeducation, and process groups designed to meet client challenges and needs.
• Assist clients in developing healthy coping skills, positive behaviors, and recovery tools.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to track client challenges and progress.
• Escalate significant client concerns to Clinical Director.
• Maintain thorough documentation of all group sessions conducted.
• Ensure all clinical assessments and individual client charting is completed.

What You'll Do

• Conduct group therapy, psychoeducation, and process groups designed to meet each client's challenges and needs
• Assist clients in developing healthy coping skills, positive behaviors, and recovery tools
• Collaborate consistently with clinical staff to keep track of client challenges and progress
• Escalate any significant client concerns to Clinical Director
• Maintain thorough documentation of all group sessions conducted
• Ensure all clinical assessments and individual client charting is completed

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling, or related field preferred
• Min. one year experience in treatment industry preferred
• Valid licensure necessary to practice as a clinician in this state- CAS.
• If in recovery, a minimum one-year period of sustained sobriety is required.
• Excellent interpersonal, observational, and communication skills
