Job summary

The Salvation Army Omaha Kroc Center is seeking energetic Swim Lesson Instructors to coordinate materials, provide appropriate instruction, and ensure the safety of participants in group swim lesson sessions.

High school diploma or GED preferred; strong communication and the ability to lead groups are essential. Basic computer skills for lesson planning and reporting are required, and bilingual abilities are a plus.

Qualifications

• Good communication skills including interpersonal skills.
• English proficiency required; Spanish language skills helpful.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
• Attention to detail, creative problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior instruction for clients to increase swim skills for classes within the scope of the training of the instructor.
• Enforce Kroc Center rules to provide a safe environment for all.
• Provide quality service, leadership and mentoring to guests in swim lessons.
• Keep up-to-date documentation of all lesson plans and progress reports.
• Understand how to operate facilities, equipment and supplies safely.
• Assist in development and implementation of systems safeguarding facilities, supplies, and equipment.
