Job summary

El Capitan Canyon Resort in California seeks a Sales Coordinator to support the Sales Director and Managers in day-to-day operations, proposals, and event coordination. You will manage inquiries, confirm contracts, and prepare reports using the resort's systems.

Reporting to the Sales Director, you will orchestrate site inspections, liaise across departments, and identify opportunities to maximize revenue through up-selling while delivering high-level service to diverse groups.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of direct administrative experience; luxury hotel sales, marketing and/or hotel operations preferred.
• Strong administrative skills including filing, proofreading/editing, handling calls, mailing and document creation.
• Typing skills of at least 50 words per minute.
• Effective verbal and written communication with all levels of staff and guests.
• Proficient in MS Office; Delphi experience favored.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and route inquiries to appropriate managers.
• Prepare and confirm client proposals and contracts.
• Run daily/weekly reports using resort systems (Delphi preferred).
• Coordinate event documentation and liaise with sales, departments and clients.
• Identify revenue opportunities through up-selling and enhancements.
• Greet onsite contacts and act as liaison throughout the event cycle.
• Conduct site inspections and showcase property features.
• Coordinate banquet/meeting space for groups.
• Maintain interdepartmental communication for Group Sales Team.
• Assist in developing leads and securing re-bookings.
• Utilize sales management system to manage and report business.
