Job summary

ChildServe is seeking a Group Respite Nurse for weekend nights (PRN) to provide nursing care at the ChildServe Center. The role operates within a 1:3 child-to-staff ratio and includes interacting with children during activities, and completing electronic documentation and MARS.

Required: Iowa RN/LPN license, valid driver's license, and BLS certification within 90 days. English communication skills are essential, with the ability to lift up to 35 lbs.

Qualifications

• Current valid RN/LPN license in Iowa.
• Valid drivers license with two or fewer violations in the past three years.
• Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days and before working independently.
• Experience working with children with special health care needs preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in reading, writing and speaking English.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and be mobile within the work area.

Job description

The role of a Group Respite Nurse - Weekend Nights (PRN) is to provide nursing cares to a small group of children during your shift in collaboration with direct care professionals. Group services supports children with varying needs and abilities over the weekend. ChildServe's Respite service allows parents to attend events for their other children, schedule appointments for themselves, or take time to recharge.

When You’ll Work

• Friday: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Saturday: 7:00 PM – Sunday 7:00 AM
• One to two weekends per month

How You'll Make an Impact

• Provide nursing support, rehabilitative needs, and preventative care in a ratio of 1:3 at the ChildServe Center.
• Interact with the child and participate in fun activities.
• Complete electronic documentation and MARS.

What You’ll Need
