Job summary

Child Serve Respite is seeking a compassionate Respite Assistant to provide personal care and supervision for children with special health care needs in their homes or in the community.

Flexible hours, with most shifts after 4pm on weekdays or on weekends. You’ll engage kids in activities, learn on the job, and help families while their regular caregivers take a break.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively in reading, writing, and speaking the English language.

Responsibilities

Job description

Do you want to get paid to have fun? If so, Child Serve Respite has a job for you! As a Respite Assistant, you will provide personal care and supervision for children with special health care needs in our clients home and out in the community.

Schedule

Flexible hours! Most shifts occur after 4pm Monday – Friday or on the weekends.

What You’ll Need:

• Must be at least 16 years old to apply
• Those 18 and over must be willing to provide transportation as a ChildServe authorized driver, if required. This includes passing a motor vehicle record check and car safety check and able to provide a valid driver’s license and insurance
• Ability to lift up - to 35 lbs. be mobile within the assigned work area, and frequently bend, lift, reach, and stand
• Ability to communicate effectively in reading, writing, and speaking the English language
