Job summary

Norwood Medical in Dayton, OH is seeking a Group Leader to head the Weekend Night Shift (Friday to Sunday, 5:30 PM – 5:00 AM).

You will lead, mentor, and develop a cross-functional team, ensure safety and quality, and drive continuous improvement aligned with ISO 13485 and FDA 21 CFR 820.

The role requires 8+ years manufacturing and 2+ years supervisory experience, plus strong problem-solving and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required with 8+ years of manufacturing experience.
• 2+ years of leadership/supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to lead a team within a technical scope.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of manufacturing principles and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage assigned team with guidance, training, mentorship and support to ensure project success.
• Delegate, monitor and audit tasks for direct reports and ensure resources are available.
• Collaborate with manager on full employment cycle including career development and performance feedback.
• Escalate area or personnel issues to manager or appropriate department.
• Troubleshoot technical issues for direct reports and ensure safety practices are followed.
• Ensure projects comply with ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR 820 and other requirements.

Norwood Medical is looking for a Group Leader to lead our Weekend, Night Shift team. The Weekend Night Shift is a Friday to Sunday shift - 5:30 PM - 5:00 AM.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Lead and manage assigned team by providing guidance, training, mentorship, and support to ensure successful execution of assigned projects and goals.
• Delegate, monitor and audit tasks for assigned team of direct reports including ensuring resources are provided and available to complete projects.
• Collaborate with manager on full employment cycle of direct reports including career development, performance feedback, succession planning, employee engagement, and creating a strong culture of innovation and learning.
• Escalate area and/or personnel issues to manager or to appropriate department.
• Troubleshoot technical issues for direct reports as needed.
• Adhere to all safety practices and support safety related activities.
• Ensure projects are in compliance to ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR820 and other requirements.
• Provide project updates and report-outs to management.
• Performs work as assigned by manager.

Position Requirements:

• Typically requires a high school diploma with at least 8+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Two years of leadership/supervisory experience is strongly preferred.
• Ability to lead a team within technical scope and experience in relevant technical expertise.
• Able to work with cross functional teams.
• Knowledge of manufacturing principles.
• Problem-solving and decision-making abilities with a focus on both technical and leadership challenges.
