Staten Island JCC is seeking a Teacher Assistant for Extended Care to support a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for preschool children, aligned with program goals.
You will supervise children, communicate professionally with parents, and work as part of a team to maintain routines and follow health and safety policies.
This role emphasizes punctuality, energy, and collaboration, with opportunities to contribute to children's physical, social, emotional and intellectual growth.
The Teacher Assistant for Extended Care will assist in providing a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment in which the children can grow physically, socially, emotionally and intellectually using the educational philosophies and goals of the program as guidelines.
You work well with children of preschool age. You must be punctual, respectful, energetic, hardworking, and a team player. You will provide and ensure appropriate supervision of the children at all times. You must be able to have professional communication with parents.
$17.50 per hour
