Tobin Beaudet Schools is seeking a warm, reliable Group Leader to support our school-age program. This part-time role focuses on creating a safe, engaging environment for children while collaborating closely with colleagues and maintaining strong communication with families. The Group Leader helps facilitate daily activities, ensures consistent supervision, and upholds all safety and regulatory standards.

What will you be engaged in day-to-day?
  • Leading and participating in daily activities that promote learning, creativity, and social-emotional development.
  • Supporting a warm, welcoming environment for children and families during drop-off and pick-up.
  • Communicating consistently with your team to coordinate schedules, classroom needs, and support for individual children.
  • Ensuring safe, clean, and organized program spaces; reporting facility or supply needs promptly.
  • Providing consistent supervision and care for children throughout program hours.
  • Encouraging positive relationships and strong school–family partnerships.
  • Maintaining confidentiality at all times.
  • Completing required documentation and supporting child assessments as needed.
  • Creating and sharing timely classroom communications when appropriate.
  • Adhering to all school policies, procedures, and professional codes of ethics.
  • Participating in required trainings, professional development, and staff meetings.
  • Supporting children’s individual needs, including hygiene and personal care, as needed.
  • Serving as a mandated reporter and following all required reporting procedures.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications that will help you succeed in this role include:
  • High School Diploma required; undergraduate degree preferred.
  • At least one year of experience working with school-age children.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Warm, engaging presence with the ability to build positive relationships.
  • High attention to detail with strong follow-through.
  • Ability to remain calm, organized, and collaborative in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; willingness to learn additional platforms.

  • Flexibility and willingness to assist colleagues and support multiple classrooms.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Ability to meet physical demands, including lifting up to 35 lbs., climbing stairs, and active play.
